Interferential Current (IFC)

IFC is a machine with electrical pads to help manage pain.The pads are attached round an injured body part and small electrical currents are sent through the skin to stimulate tissue healing. The current feels like a comfortable buzz when adjusted to a proper intensity. Its effects are useful for deeper tissues in the body. The electrical stimulation will also help to loosen muscles and decrease pain signals from nerves. Often IFC is used in conjunction with heat or ice and can be used to manage acute flare ups by providing a soothing current to the painful area(s) of the body
