Taping

Therapeutic taping is the application of an adhesive, elastic fabric tape over an affected body part in order to treat pain and disability from an injury. Using the tension from the tape, it can be used to change movement patterns to protect and injury. Other benefits of taping include decreasing swelling, improving lymphatic drainage, providing support, and relieving pain. It can also help stimulate proprioceptive input which means you will have a better sense of the position of your joint, possibly preventing future injury. There is no additional cost to Taping at our clinic because our physiotherapists believe that taping can extend the therapeutic benefits of the treatment.
